Bowood Farms

+ Cafe Osage

Locally-grown plants, extremely Instagrammable bistro using fresh-grown ingredients & locally sourced goods, a studio that offers assorted DIY classes like hand-lettering & fresh-cut floral arranging to hand-dying fabrics & energy crystal healing.

Bowood Farms is a hip, urban nursery nestled in The Central West End: one of the coolest neighborhoods of St. Louis (which also happens to be my neighborhood)!

In 2018, they reached out about working together on a more robust, and up-to-date digital experience for their customers.

Their old website was a basic informational site, but didn’t highlight their unique story. So, the challenge became: how do we make that connection between their web presence and their already-established physical location?

A little piece of heavenright around the corner.

Cafe Osage can do no wrong in these eyes. So when this project kicked off, it was apparent that deciding how to showcase the experience of this little hidden gem was going to be a major challenge. Luckily for us, Imageclairity  provided a ton of incredible photography & videography to support the design. Or let’s be real… to make it shine!

Obviously, for any restaurant website, the focus on the user-experience needs to be location, hours of operation and above all else: MENU.

But Cafe Osage also has these other equitable points to their model that create this wonderful draw for customers to dine there. So, after tackling the mandatories stated above, explaining the process of growing herbs and veggies on-site that then develop the entire menu is something that needed to shine without overpowering the information everybody already inherently wants.
